Unique + Antique Brooches with Photos
I have a deep and dear appreciation for brooches, especially the type of brooches that have their own sense of uniqueness and character. My antique brooches are my most coveted ones because behind them, there’s history, a fascinating story even.
There wasn’t a period of time where I saw people wearing brooches with their everyday attire, but I found a few in a jewelry box that belonged to my late, great aunt — and that’s where the collection began.
Where do I find my Brooches?
I typically buy my brooches at antique stores or my secret thrift store locations (I’m kidding, I share) and usually spend no more than $5 per brooch.
Latest Antique Shop Brooch Finds Coming Up!
It’s strange, it’s weird… and I have no idea what my newest antique brooch (the gold blob with pretty blue stones) is supposed to be. When people ask, I will typically change it around a bit each time (I know.. I’m funny too) — sometimes it’s a sheep with spots, other times it’s a cave with a headcount of ten.
With delicacy and simplicity, just like the hand-painted ceramic butterfly brooch I found at a local consignment shop, purchasing this lovely brooch was an absolute must for me. I imagined all the Stevie Nicks inspired outfits I could pair with this brooch.. the lace.. oh, the lace.
She glowed like gold in a dark room filled with warm candlelight,
and it was just like her to never want to leave.
Talk about creepy crawling. I could only assume that this was a glamorous camel spider.
