Bohemian style homes get a lot of shade by those that believe that the boho style is for the carefree and messy type individuals — and that’s a shame, because it truly revolves around art and those that appreciate it. One feature of some Bohemian style homes that I have fell head over heels for is vintage wallpaper, commonly used for an accent wall.
Bohemian Style Homes
I have cruised the internet for eight rooms that inherit the boho atmosphere and vintage wallpaper designs that you can’t help but swoon over.
This space is my favorite. Why? Well, take a look at the detail. You can’t tell me that this style is for the lazy because there is too much detail to admire.
This wallpaper design is much more simple and helps tie in the other artistic details of the room — such as the framed art pieces, the antique chandelier, and a touch of character with the guitar case. Typically, I’m not fond of modern lighting decor, but the stainless steel spotlights are right up my alley.
This particular wallpaper can fit both the Bohemian style home decor, as well as a country farm house appeal.
Out of all spaces, I would say this space best represents my current home style. I’ve always been the one to stray to older homes (even though they are much more work) as opposed to newly built houses – so this one just feels like a cozy home to dwell in.
This is a look inside Leo’s Oyster Bar in San Francisco, CA — not a home, I’m aware – but look at that wallpaper! It’s truly difficult to go wrong in decor when you have something green, something gold, and something wood.
This is another big love for me – exposed wall from where the wallpaper has been either intentionally torn, or just worn from time. Would this bother you?
